[Matt Dallas, dressed in a black suit, gray pullover shirt and taupe shoes, comes onto the stage amid applauses. He shakes hands with Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar who say, "How are you? Welcome!" Star Jones Reynolds hugs him, and he shakes hands with Barbara Walters. He sits between Star and Joy. Barbara sits on the other side of Star and Elisabeth is on the other side of Joy.]
Elisabeth: I called you Kyle back stage! 
Barbara: You're cute!
Joy: He's very cute! (to Matt) Do you hate it when people say 'you're cute'?
Matt (laughs): No, I don't hate it.
Joy: What would you like them to say?
Matt: Hot and sexy. (laughs and unbuttons his jacket)
Barbara: Let's start over again. Gee, you're hot and sexy.
Joy: Of course, you're hot and sexy.
Barbara: And you're fine.
Matt: Oh, I like that one too.
Elisabeth: You have a dog, right? You could use the Dog Whisperer.

[Photo of Sebastian is aired.]
Matt: I do have a dog. My dog has eaten so many things. I've been through 4 cell phones in the past 2 months.
Elisabeth: That's Sebastian right there.
Joy: He eats cell phone?
Matt: Now, that is the world's best dog.
Elisabeth: Oh, Barbara, you got some competition now.
Joy: Is he a puppy?
Matt: He's about a year old.
Joy: That's why he's still chewing on stuff.
Matt: Yea, he's going through that phase.
Barbara: Mine does not eat cell phones.
Elisabeth: I want to talk about the show because you played this teenaged guy who essentially know nothing about the world. He doesn't have a belly button, which is odd, and I really cannot wait until we find out why - I think it's some sort of a womb theory - but he also finds out he's very turn on by girls, which is normal.
Barbara: He comes from nowhere.
Elisabeth: He comes from this forest and covered with gel and of a sudden you're there trying to figure out life. Do you consider yourself as much as an outsider like this character or can you relate to being an outsider?
[Matt's name is displayed on video.]
Matt: I think everyone can relate to being an outsider and feel out of place and lonely. When I was a kid, I was always picked on because I wasn't into sports like other kids. It's definitely something I can relate to.
Elisabeth: Where are you from?
Matt: Phoenix.
Barbara: Do you have a belly button?
Matt: I do. [Audience laughs]
Elisabeth: Innie or outie?
Matt: I'm an innie.
Barbara: In one of the first scenes when you come out of this forest, you are nude.
[naked-in-the-woods clip is aired.]
Matt: Naked.
Barbara: Naked. There you go. You are naked and covered in pink goo. It's a brand new role and you have to be naked. How do you feel about it? Totally naked or a little naked?
Matt: Almost completely naked. I have a little piece of material about this size [indicating width with right thumb and index finger] double-sticked tape to the front. That was about it.
Elisabeth: How about getting it off? [Audience laughs]
Matt: Painful! [Audience laughs.] Like a Band-Aid. Rip it off. [He rubs both thighs with his hands.]
Barbara: What is it like for you to go in front of everybody like that?
Matt: I was more nervous about the thought of it in the beginning. But when it actually comes to the shooting it on the day, I thought "Forget it. Don't even think about it." Otherwise I would freak myself out.
Joy: Is Matt Dallas your real name? It sounds like a porn star. [Audience laughs] Matt Dallas.
Matt: My friends in high school used to call me "Matt Dallas, Porn Star to the Stars". [Audience laughs]
Joy: Really? We're not the first ones to think of that? That is your real name?
Matt (laughs): It is my real name.
Elisabeth: Are you dating anyone?
Matt: I'm currently single.
Elisabeth: You are? Are you looking single or enjoy being single?
Matt: I'm always kind of looking. I like to be in a relationship. I would like having her to be there.

[Everyone ahs at that. Star Jones Reynolds wants Matt so he moves closer to her and puts his arm around her. Then he lets go and moves back.]
Barbara: Do you find out who you are? And where you're from?
Matt: We find out by the end of the season.
Barbara: By now, when you go back home, you're close to your grandmother, right?
Matt: I'm close to my grandma. She's one of my dearest people.
Barbara: What does Grandma think of her baby becoming this star and walking around nude?
Matt: She loves it! Every time I go home, she pulls out her bags of magazines I'm been in and old tapes of plays I've been in; my first play I was in and make me watch it. 'Grandma, I've seen it a million times.'
Joy: You're a love child. That's good. Not all actors come from unhappy family. You come from a loving family.
Star: What do you call your grandmother? [Everyone laughs.]
Matt: We call her Grandma.
Joy: Do you consider your grandma part of your family? [Audience laughs.]
Matt: I do. She was definitely my nanny growing up. She's part of the family.
Star: Joy has no family members at all!
Elisabeth: She will need a bigger box. I have a feeling she will have a lot more to brag about with you. You're a success. Thanks for being with us today.
Matt: Thank you.
Elisabeth: And hopefully no more double-sticked tapes!
Matt: Yeah, hopefully.
[Audience claps. Camera zooms in on Elisabeth.]
